Georgia Melville – BMus

Singing

Soprano Georgia Melville is a passionate singing teacher, focused on nurturing a learning environment where curiosity, creativity and fun can shine. Her aims are to give high-quality, personalised voice lessons to accommodate all skill levels, and to foster healthy vocal production.

Georgia holds a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. During her studies, Georgia received various prizes for
musical and academic excellence, such as the Demant Dreikurs Scholarship, a
Henderson Traveller’s Scholarship and the Chapple-Bremner Award. She is a 2020
scholarship recipient with Melba Opera Trust.

Georgia had her European debut last year as Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus with the
Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, sponsored by the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust.
Georgia had the opportunity to return to Germany in July to perform as a featured
soloist in the Thüringer Symphoniker Saalfeld-Rudolstadt’s 2019 Operngala. Her
operatic repertoire also includes Arminda (La finta giardiniera), Pamina (Die
Zauberflöte), Coridon (Acis and Galatea), and Gianetta (The Gondoliers), to name a
few. Georgia is an experienced oratorio and concert soloist.

Georgia has been a finalist and semi-finalist in most of the major Australian vocal
competitions. She has held scholarship positions at St Stephen’s Uniting Church, the
ESTIVO Summer Chamber Music Festival in Verona, Italy, and the Peninsula
Summer Music Festival.
